Tofu Burger - approx. 50 calories for the patty, 187 for the whole sandwich
in this picture, I split the patty in half because all I had were the long sandwich thins!
Tofu Burger Ingredients:
about 3/4 of a serving of tofu (preferably pressed, but I didn’t)
2 Teaspoons worcestershire sauce
herbs (basil, oregano, sage…)
garlic salt
ground ginger (1/2 teaspoon? not a lot)
2 tablespoons chopped onions
1 egg white
1 tablespoon dry oatmeal
Directions:
1. mash tofu in a bowl with a fork.
2. mix in the rest of the ingredients and mash with your hands; form into patties.
3. fry in a pan with a little bit of olive oil and cook until brown and done!I wanted to add sprouts, but I was out :( top with whatever you want! I added spinach, tomatoes, grilled onions and mushrooms, and dijon mustard. MMMM :)
